PROFIBUS Troubleshooting and Maintenance course Plus Certified PROFIBUS Installer course (2 days)

Having problems with your PROFIBUS network? Then this is the training class for you. Learn the skills you need to find and isolate problems fast. At the end of the training, you will be able to maintain, strategically isolate, analyze and solve problems in PROFIBUS installations. During the class you will learn and practice how to use the latest PROFIBUS Troubleshooting tools including the all-in-one troubleshooting tool ProfiTrace 2 with Scopeware, and permanent network monitor COMBRICK.

The course is designed for those who install and maintain PROFIBUS DP or PA installations. The class provides a mixture of theory and hands-on experience to give you the skill set you need, and the ability to put it into practice immediately. Attendees will learn how to analyze, localize and solve PROFIBUS problems. The theory covered includes details about cabling, shielding, and grounding. Certified PROFIBUS System Design course (4 days)

How do I best design a PROFIBUS network? How can I improve my design? What do I need to consider? What about incorporating HART, IO-Link, PROFINET, OPC in my network design? How reliable will the network be? How can I increase reliability and availability?

If you are asking yourself these questions, then this is the course for you. The course provides a top-down approach to designing a modern automation and control system and helps managers and designers made the correct decisions from the project beginning. The course applies to all sectors of industry from factory automation to process control. Examples and case-studies used on the course are from a wide range of industries including manufacturing, process plant, water treatment, material handling and automated part sorting storage and retrieval.

One of the aims of the course is to cover the design of modern control systems that are maintainable and which minimize the impact of the control system and network failures which will inevitably occur during the lifetime of the plant. The course covers all the things that are normally forgotten about at the design stage and shows how to design an optimized system that is reliable, maintainable, flexible for future expansion and has the minimum downtime footprint when failures inevitably occur.

 

Prerequisites
